Status
The app is currently in a late alpha state. David has been using it for several months to post pictures to his Tumblr page. More testing is required, and so readers are encouraged to download the .apk of the current alpha version below and provide feedback. It will be gratefully received and shall expedite the app towards being released on the Market (where it will remain free).
Install Instructions
To install any ‘outside’ apps to your android phone, you will first need enable the installation of apps from untrusted sources. To do this, open the device settings and navigate to ‘Applications’. Once there, check the box next to ‘Unknown Sources’. This will allow you to install apps from sources other than the Android Market.
Once you’ve done that, there are a couple of different ways to install apps directly to your android device:
- Download a barcode scanner that reads QR codes. Use it to scan the QR code below and follow the link it generates.
- Follow the link below with the phone’s browser. This will download it to the device. Then you can tap the file in the download window to ‘run’ it, and this will install the app.
- Install a third-party file manager such as astro on your android device. Then you can download the apk using a desktop computer, transfer it to the device’s sd card and then find it using the file manager. From there you can double-tap the apk and install it.
